Blue Monday?!?!
The National press may have said that Monday 17th was blue Monday, but here we have always thought it was the 24th. There’s a lot of talk for both, but at the end of the day the whole point is to spread cheer across the UK. So here at bluemonday.org we will still be promoting all the positive action being taken by people around the country, we also encourage you all to take some time out to cheer someone up on Monday 24th.
Our friends at channel 4′s battlefront are doing a lot of great work on Monday the 24th so check out there website!

Personal Pledge
We here at Blue Monday would like to thank Samantha Weitzelfor contacting us about her personal act of happiness. She has cheered up family members and neighbours with simple phone calls. That’s what we like to see, a little bit of kindness can go a long way!

The day will include: Dance workshops, laughter Yoga, film screenings and percussion workshops. We will also have advice about ways to increase your well being etc and all events and workshops are FREE.
The event will hopefully become and annual occurance, so join in and be a part of something long lasting.
You can download the flyer here for more information.

It’s not the 24th but still worth it!
We have been contacted by Action Aid who are hosting a great event up in London’s Finsbury Avenue Square on the 17th January. The event looks to engage people in the work that action aid do, by having lots of fun activities for all the family. There will be two large heated bubbles that people can sit inside to get out of the cold, whilst inside there will be space hoppers, free massages and lots more for the public to do between 7am-7pm.
It marks the launch of there new campaign, which is trying to show people how good they can feel by doing something nice for others. That is what we are all about so if you can check it out! For more information on the event please check out the website.

On Blue Monday itself the blog will also be posting tips on creating happiness and will also include a link a very uplifting lecture on happiness by doctor at Columbia University.
You can follow all this blogging action on www.wishfulthinkingworks.com
